We
loved this hotel! It's tucked away on a quiet street and yet only a
five-minute
walk
to Sultanahmet Square. Everyone
who
worked at the hotel was friendly
and
the free breakfast was delicious,
really
above and beyond what we
expected.
The rooms were large and
featured
lovely wooded armoires
and
Turkish pottery as well as mini-fridges. from

"Sweet
hotel for a good value"
This
Hotel is very clean, the staff is
friendly,
and the room comfortable.
The
hotel is close to tourist sites but
you
will have to walk up a steep hill to
get
to the local restaurants and the tram.

"Excellent
hotel"
The
Erguvan is great. We stayed there in
May
2004 and were extremely impressed. The staff were more than helpful
and
went
out of their way to provide extra assistance with onward bookings, bus
advice
and assistance, luggage storage.
The
room was good; lots of atmosphere,
very
comfortable and scrupulously
cleaned
every day. The location is
marvellous;
everything at your
disposal
in short walk; very
atmospheric
and the view from the
breakfast
room is gorgeous.
Book
it and enjoy!

"What
a wonderful hotel"
We
stayed at the Erguvan hotel for three nights in October, 2004. The
hotel is in
an
old building, but is clean and new.
It
has a great location. The rooms were
large,
and simple, but well decorated.
The
bathrooms were beautifully tiled.
The
hotel was spotlessly clean. The
breakfest
room overlooks the Golden
Horn
on one side, and the Blue Mosque
on
the other side. As much as I can rave about the hotel and rooms, the
service
and
staff was even better. One night we choose to stay in and have wine in
the
rooftop
lounge. We got hungry and
asked
the staff if they could provide
us
with snacks. Although this is not a
service
they nornally provide, they not
only
gave us snacks, but fed us like
kings.
The staff took the time to teach us
some
Turkish words, and were helpful in suggesting restaurants (try the Doy
Doy restaurant) I just can't say enough good
about
this place. Our taxi driver had a
hard
time finding it and took us on a
tour
of the city on the way. He tried to
charge
us for this unrequested, but fun
tour,
but the hotel made sure that he got
what
the fare would have been if he had
taken
us there directly. Make sure you
get
directions to the hotel for your
taxi
driver.
